UPDATE: Here's my interview in the National Catholic Register with Dr.Paul Byrne, Director of Neonatology and Director of Pediatrics at St. Charles Mercy Hospital in Oregon, Ohio, and the former president of the Catholic Medical Association, who provides his perspective on the controversy. Byrne argues that when treating pregnant patients, the physician must member that there are two patients: the mother and her unborn child.
